Product Development
We will take your newly created seed from the greenhouse or tissue culture and develop it to it’s most commercially viable product. We will advise and develop for you the fastest and most economically viable path to commercialization. We can operate as a turnkey operation or step by step process.
Strategy Development
We will advise and create for you the most efficient, fast, and economical plan to bring your product to market. We rely on our vast experience developing several products over the years. It is a combination of multiple pathways, smart decisions, and risk mitigation.
GM Products
If your product is GM, then you are in good hands. We have vast experience developing GM products for biotech, ag tech, and food tech companies. We will start with event selection and gene efficacy to multiple yield trials and to seed production. For many years we worked with the USDA on compliance programs, and we will offer the most efficient ways for you to develop and bring your products to market.
Conventional Breeding
If your product is conventional, non-GM, we will identify the most efficient way to develop it from as early as F2 populations, through breeder rows, multiple yield trials, and seed increases. We can also offer PVP registration.
IP Production
Most companies with specialty products use IP (Identity Preservation) to protect their propriety technology from comingling with other seeds. We will develop and implement an IP program tailored for your product and growing conditions. The program provides specific steps and documentations for insuring complete segregation of your product from other seeds.
Winter Nurseries
Winter nurseries take advantage of the opposite climate from Southern to northern hamisphere, or by going to warmer climates during the winter. These programs can generate two breeding cycles, or multiply seed twice in a single calendar year. Most companies use winter nurseries in their breeding programs and to speed up their go-to-market strategy. We are well connected in several countries in the southern hamisphere (Chile, Argentina, New Zealand), Puerto Rico and Hawaii.

MG Ag Consulting is lead by Agronomist and Founder Meir Gadisman. Our consulting team is hand picked seasoned professionals, each with 15 to 30 years of experience in agriculture, biotechnology, and ag-tech companies. Our collective expertise spans successful partnerships with seed companies, biotech firms, and food technology companies.
We focus on a wide range of crops, including soybeans, corn, canola, cotton, field peas, and safflower, among others. Our work has taken us across the U.S, from the Midwest to the Northern Plains and Mountain States. In Canada, we are active in the Prairie Provinces, while our expertise extends globally, working in counter-season and winter nurseries in Chile, Argentina, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii.
Many of our clients are startups and mid-sized companies, often new to product development. This is where our meticulous planning, attention to detail, and strong execution come into play.
