GM Products
If your product is genetically modified (GM), you’re in good hands. With extensive experience in developing GM products for biotech, ag tech, and food tech companies, we’ll guide you from event selection and gene efficacy through multiple yield trials to seed production. Our longstanding collaboration with the USDA on compliance programs ensures that we provide you with the most knowleagable pathways to develop and bring your products to market.
Conventional Breeding
If your product is conventional and non-GM, we will identify the most efficient development pathway, starting from F2 populations through breeder rows, multiple yield trials, and seed increases. We can also assist with PVP registration.
IP Production
Companies with specialty products often use Identity Preservation (IP) to protect their proprietary technology from commingling with other seeds. We will develop and implement a customized IP program tailored to your product and growing conditions, providing clear steps and documentation to ensure complete segregation of your product from other seeds.
Winter Nurseries
Winter nurseries take advantage of the Southern Hemisphere's opposite climate to the Northern Hemisphere, and warmer regions during winter. These programs allow for two breeding cycles or seed multiplications within a single calendar year, accelerating your go-to-market strategy. We are well-connected in Chile, Argentina, New Zealand, Puerto Rico and Hawaii, to support your needs.

At MG Ag Consulting, our team consists of seasoned professionals, each bringing 15 to 30 years of experience in agriculture, biotechnology, and ag-tech industries. Our collective expertise spans successful collaborations with seed companies, biotech firms, and food technology companies.
We specialize in a diverse range of crops, including soybeans, corn, canola, cotton, field peas, and safflower, among others. Our work has taken us across the U.S, from the Midwest to the Northern Plains and Mountain States. In Canada, we are active in the Prairie Provinces, and our global expertise includes counter-season and winter nurseries in Chile, Argentina, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii.
